KOVE Warranty
Your KOVE has the factory warranty backed by Carrera Motos S.A.S. as the official importer, in addition to the legal warranty established by Colombia's Consumer Statute (Law 1480 of 2011).
Warranty timeframes
- Models of 250 cc and above, except the Rally and Off-Road families: 2 years or 30,000 km, whichever comes first.
- Models under 250 cc: 1 year or 20,000 km, whichever comes first.
- Rally and Off-Road families: 1 year, 10,000 km or 200 hours of use, whichever comes first.
The KOVE range available today in Colombia is 250 to 800 cc, so no active model falls below that cut-off. The Rally and Off-Road families have their own timeframe, with a separate legal notice, and each model page states the timeframe that applies to it.
If your KOVE is a Rally or Off-Road
Motorcycles in the Rally and Off-Road families have their own timeframe — 1 year, 10,000 km or 200 hours of use, whichever comes first — and their own exclusion: use in races, championship rounds or timed sporting events, except on the lines the manual states are designed for competition. Everything else on this page applies the same.
This timeframe applies to motorcycles delivered from August 30, 2026 onwards. If you bought your motorcycle before that date, we keep the timeframe that was published on the day of your purchase, even if it was longer than this one.
Read the off-road warranty noticeWhat it covers
Manufacturing defects under normal use conditions:
- Engine and transmission.
- Electrical system.
- Structural components.
- Genuine KOVE spare parts fitted while the warranty is valid.
- Batch defects confirmed by the factory.
What it does not cover
- Consumables and wear parts: filters, sprockets, chain, spark plugs, brake pads, cables and fluids.
- Normal tyre wear.
- Accidents, misuse, unauthorized modifications and natural disasters.
- Use in races, championship rounds or timed sporting events, except on the lines the manual states are designed for competition. The exclusion applies only where that was the cause of the failure.
- Repairs carried out outside Carrera Motos's authorized network.
- Failure to follow the maintenance plan.
While the network is being built, write to us before any repair so your warranty is not affected.
How to claim it
Write to Carrera Motos's after-sales email and tell us:
gerenciaposventa@carrera.com.co- The motorcycle's chassis number (VIN).
- What is failing and since when.
- The purchase invoice, if you have it to hand: it speeds things up, but it is not a requirement for us to handle your warranty claim.
The invoice is not a condition of the warranty. If you do not have it, the purchase can be evidenced by any means: the chassis number, the warranty registration or the contract.
We are working to handle your KOVE's servicing, spare parts, repairs and warranty at our own location from November 15, 2026. Your warranty applies from the purchase and is handled as set out in the manual: in the meantime, write to us through the official after-sales channels.
